Here are the top 3 reasons to attend SafeMark’s Train-the-Trainer Workshop February 19-20, in Jacksonville, FL:

  1. Receive the latest SafeMark Training Materials

All SafeMark program materials have been updated to include changes to the 2013 FDA Food Code.  Attendees will receive the recently published 4th Edition of the SafeMark Guide to Food Safety:  Manager Certification Training Book, Summary of Changes made to the 2013 FDA Food Code Booklet, and the SafeMark Guide to Food Safety Trainer’s Kit.  The updated Trainer’s Kit complements the SafeMark Guide to Food Safety, incorporating the latest Food Code updates and re-designed training materials.  Training materials include presentation slides that correlate with the content from each chapter of the Guide to Food Safety; Talking Points to help the trainer add more depth to slide contents; Sample Training Agendas; Review Questions and Answers; as well as suggested for activities that will enhance the learner experience.

  2. In addition to becoming an approved SafeMark Trainer, attendees will be given the opportunity to become a Certified Food Protection Manager.

The 2013 FDA Food Code recommends that each retail food establishment have at least one employee with supervisory authority over food preparation and food service become a Certified Food Protection Manager by passing an examination from an accredited program, such as the SafeMark Food Safety Manager Certification Exam, offered through the National Registry for Food Safety Professionals.  Attendees will be given the opportunity to sit for the nationally recognized SafeMark Certification Exam.

  3. Gain insights from food safety education leaders to become the most effective trainer. The Train-the-Trainer workshop will offer instruction from SafeMark authors who are proven leaders in food safety education community.  Instructors will provide tips and tools for each chapter to maximize the effectiveness of SafeMark trainers by ensuring employees gain an understanding of proper food safety practices that are necessary to prevent foodborne illness.
