Celebrating You this Holiday Season

FMI honors those committed to serving others during the holidays, helping to make the season bright for everyone.

By Leslie G. Sarasin, President and CEO, FMI

Ornament that says In this holiday rush time, I know you are—and will continue to be—busy providing the festive food and fare for your patrons and communities. While the work you do during this demanding time is very much in keeping with the spirit of this season and its aura of serving others, bringing peace, and helping spread joy, we also know it comes with a price.

I am very much aware that while you are working on behalf of other families, you are spending precious time away from your own loved ones. While laboring to assist others in their feasts with friends, you might not have time to celebrate with your own pals. In the hubbub of it all, we at FMI take note of your sacrificial actions and devoted commitment to your customers.

In addition to informing Santa that you deserve to be at the top of his “good list” this year, we want you to know how very proud we are to serve and be associated with such a noble industry. Please know that during the busyness and the business of this season, we hope you find the time and space to create some special holiday magic with those you love. Our holiday season shines a bit brighter because of you.

Like the Grinch, may your community exchanges help you see through the glitz, glitter, and trappings to the true meaning of these days, causing your heart to increase three-fold.

Like Ebenezer Scrooge, may your past, present, and future visit you and the reflections of those moments not haunt but encourage you to become a better version of yourself.

Like the lad on the Polar Express, may your journey take you deeper into the mystery of life and belief, enabling you to hear the holiday bells ring for joy like never before.

And like Rudolph, may you find meaning, satisfaction, and joy in the fact that your unique qualifications make you indispensable this time of year.

Happy holidays to you and yours.
