Sue Borra, FMI's chief health and wellness officer and executive director of the FMI Foundation, toured the Tortillera at Northgate Gonzalez Market's store in La Habra located in Orange County, California with Teresa Blanco, wellness program manager, and Enrique Sanchez, assistant store team leader. This is their newest flagship store that opened in March 2017.
Blanco shared their health and wellness program Viva La Salud that includes shelf signage, healthy recipes, in-store health events, and more.
The 41 store southern-California chain, Northgate Markets, caters to Hispanic consumers and has been called the "Mexican-Food Disneyland" by the Orange County Weekly newsletter.
