Consistent with one of the key themes of this year’s FMI Connect event – showcasing the current landscape of the food retail industry – the value of advancing women leaders will be highlighted through the participation by the Network of Executive Women (NEW) and Women Impacting Store Brand Excellence (WISE).

Winning in today’s marketplace means leveraging the strengths of your entire workforce – male and female.  We’re pleased to be promoting the value of advancing and retaining women leaders at FMI Connect through the participation of NEW and WISE.

NEW will be presenting a session entitled, “Leveraging Women’s Leadership to Unlock the Potential of Your Workforce” on June 12th at 9:00 a.m.  The session will feature a panel discussion of NEW members discussing the findings of NEW’s “Women 2020” report, including how organizations can advance more women while growing their business.

“When it comes to advancing women leaders, the focus of organizations has traditionally been on changing women,” Nancy Krawczyk, vice president of sales and marketing for NEW told FMI.  “One of the key findings from our ‘Women 2020’ study is that organizations must change if they want to advance and retain their valuable female leaders.”

WISE will be a first-time exhibitor at FMI Connect (booth #4724), and its board members and representatives will be on-hand to introduce the organization to attendees.

Peggy S. Davies, founder and board chair of WISE, told FMI: “FMI Connect is one of the most significant global events in the food retail industry. As leaders in recognizing and promoting the accomplishments of women in the store brands industry, we believe this is the perfect environment to showcase our organization and encourage new membership.”
