Grocery Loyalty Programs Help Shoppers Save

Grocery retailers recognize the affordability challenges their customers face and continue to offer multiple ways to help them save. According to FMI’s U.S. Grocery Shopper Trends 2026, 68% of shoppers are concerned about rising food prices, yet 75% feel they have at least some control over their grocery spending. Additionally, 67% of shoppers agree that grocery retailers try hard to offer options that help them stay within budget. Grocery loyalty programs are just one way that retailers provide savings and value, offering shoppers access to digital coupons, rewards and personalized incentives based on their shopping preferences. Participation is entirely voluntary, and benefits can include member-only offers, points earned through purchases and rewards that can be redeemed for future savings.
