Join us to learn more about a day in the life of JoAnn Breaux, RDN, LD, H-E-B Wellness Nutrition Strategy Team Lead, as she takes us through her day as a busy mom and corporate dietitian, from breakfast and morning exercise to day care and the office, then back to wrap up the day with some playtime and family dinner!
JoAnn focuses on nutrition strategy within the H-E-B wellness department, connecting the business of primary care and health with the business of the grocery store and food. Her overarching goal is to provide customers with in-store solutions to help them live well, so she works to ensure that wellness comes to life and appears across every possible touchpoint for shoppers.
An office day might be spent developing content for a marketing campaign or ecommerce page or prepping for a nutrition segment at the local news studio. Registered dietitians, like JoAnn, can be the ideal tool for connecting the dots, translating the science of nutrition into digestible information and actionable steps and putting helpful information right in the digital platforms where customers shop.
The grocery store is evolving into a destination for health and well-being as customers seek more transparency, inspiration, convenience and better prices to meet their personal needs, with the right balance of health services, shopping resources and wellness messaging. All things JoAnn is equipped to deliver in her role.
From the FMI 2024 Report on Food Industry Contributions to Health & Well-being, we know that dietitians across the food industry are working in various leadership roles, strategizing with their companies on everything from private label and merchandising to food as medicine and ecommerce.
