Tusan Commodities was created in 2017 by Daniel Tuta. After 13-years of experience in the food industry, Daniel decided that it was time to capitalize on his proven success, expertise, and well-established industry reputation by going into business on his own. Daniel started his career working for General Mills and Tia Maria Bakery in the early 2000s where he learned how to place products on the shelves for a variety of retailers and gained food production experience. He continued his career at Sherwood Foods as a Buyer. Soon after, he worked 2-year for Colorado Boxed Beef, where he mastered both areas of expertise, buying and selling commodities. This experience led him to a successful 8-year career with Signature Foods. At Signature he managed the procurement and sales department, further developed the Pick-5 business brand and expanded and grew the company’s IQF chicken product line, domestically and internationally. Daniel became the most successful sales employee within Signature Foods.
