The survey research results in The Food Retailing Industry Speaks (Speaks) report. In 2016, companies that responded to the full survey represent 12,070 stores and combined with SEC filings the survey represents 33,616 stores. Speaks also contains The Worry Index, where senior leaders in the food retail industry assign macro and micro issues a score between one and 10, where 10 reflects the greatest impact on their business.
