This is the second report of the Food Waste Reduction Alliance (FWRA), a collaborative effort between the Food Marketing Institute (FMI), Grocery Manufacturers Association (GMA), and National Restaurant Association (NRA) to assess, analyze, and reduce food waste both collectively and individually. This report analyzes survey data on food waste donation, reuse and recycling, and disposal by respondents in the food manufacturing, wholesale, retail, and restaurant sectors.It also characterizes barriers to higher rates of donation, reuse, and recycling in these sectors.
