ARLINGTON, VA — October 26, 2007 — A Web-based employee training program, Sexual Harassment Recognition and Prevention, is now available from the Food Marketing Institute (FMI). The program was created in partnership with LearnSomething, Inc., a leading source of e-learning and multimedia products.

The program, involving separate tracks for managers and hourly associates, will educate employees at all levels in understanding the broad definition of sexual harassment and the consequences of inappropriate behavior in the workplace.

Participants in the Sexual Harassment Recognition and Prevention program will learn how to:

•     Identify laws, definitions and behaviors associated with sexual harassment.

•     Examine methods used to identify harassment and handle communications with the offender.

•     Resolve harassment conflicts.

Vignettes demonstrate to employees how issues involving unwelcome sexual conduct could adversely affect performance and create a hostile working environment. Participants will receive certificates upon completion of the course.

Sexual Harassment Recognition and Prevention is available at www.fmi.org/store/. The price is $30 for FMI members; $50 for FMI associate members; and $60 for nonmembers. Contact Kim Roberts at 202.220.0720 or kroberts@fmi.org/ for more information.
