WASHINGTON, DC — March 25, 2003 — Recognizing the grocery industry’s newest food, beverage and consumer products, the Food Marketing Institute (FMI) will feature a first-ever FMI New Products Showcase at the 2003 FMI Show, May 4-6 at the McCormick Place Convention Center in downtown Chicago.

“The exceptionally high profile of The FMI Show in Chicago provides an ideal opportunity to showcase the outstanding product innovations that drive our business,” notes Brian Tully, FMI senior vice president, conventions. “The FMI New Products Showcase will provide well-deserved recognition to those companies that bring exceptional value and quality to the nation’s consumers.”

To qualify for the showcase, products must be introduced between on or after January 1, 2003. They must be completely new or a category or line extension, or in exceptional cases, relaunched or repackaged.
