Yasso Can’d Aid Partnership

Company : The Magnum Ice Cream Company- Yasso
Program category : Neighborhood Health

Origins:

  • Yasso Game On! Foundation and Can’d Aid are proud to be in their fourth year of partnership, working together to increase access for children in under-resourced communities to lead healthy, active lives across the United States. Through public-facing and partner-led bike build and donation events, the partnership engages Yasso employees, local wholesalers, retail partners, and community volunteers to assemble and donate brand-new bicycles and helmets to children across the country.
  • Can’d Aid's people-powered programs provide the tools and access for under-resourced communities to lead healthy, active, and creative lives. According to the CDC, only 24% of children ages 6–17 meet the recommended 60 minutes of daily physical activity. By providing brand-new bicycles to children who may not otherwise have access to one, the Yasso + Can'd Aid partnership helps remove barriers to outdoor recreation and active transportation while encouraging physical activity, social connection, independence, and improved well-being. Each bike represents an opportunity for a child to spend more time outdoors, build confidence, and establish lifelong healthy habits.
  • Yasso is part of the family of iconic brands owned by The Magnum Ice Cream Company.
