Research results from FMI Foundation’s Unified Voice Protocol work exploring consumer acceptance of gene editing are presented and discussed. The 2020 consumer study focused on consumer awareness and understanding of gene editing and investigate the market potential for gene-edited food products. The nationwide survey was the result of a partnership between Farm Foundation, FMI Foundation, American Seed Trade Association, American Farm Bureau Federation and Michigan State University.
