The homeless population is increasing and presenting a growing challenge for organizations that need to maintain guest security in and around their facilities. The first line of defense is often to view homeless people as nuisances and call local law enforcement, or threaten to do so. But this tactic has proven ineffective not to mention causing indignity to homeless individuals and discomfort and potential risk for guests and employees.
We discuss how to shift from stern inflexible enforcement to compassionate deterrence and explores how to expand these lessons company-wide to ensure that all frontline staff are empowered to safely and effectively interact with homeless individuals.
The webinar was hosted by experts from The Power of Preparedness and FMI.
