FMI Names Jeanne von Zastrow Senior Director of Field Services

WASHINGTON, DC — August 31, 2004 — Food Marketing Institute (FMI) is pleased to announce the promotion of Jeanne von Zastrow to senior director, field services.
     

In this position, von Zastrow serves as FMI’s primary liaison between FMI leadership and the food industry in the Western half of the country. Her responsibilities include providing customized information and services to FMI members; identifying industry trends and assessing member needs; and providing member ideas and input to FMI for the development of new programs and services. She serves as one of FMI’s key spokespersons at conferences, trade shows and industry boards of directors, including the Western Association of Food Chains and the California Grocers Association. Additionally, von Zastrow is responsible for developing and facilitating FMI’s Natural Foods and Next Generation share groups.
     

von Zaestrow reports to Jeff Rumachik, group director, field services.
     

An 18-year FMI veteran, von Zastrow has experience in the development and marketing of educational programs and conferences, creating and facilitating member share groups, and designing and implementing customized member services. She previously served as a political appointee for President Ronald Reagan and spent the first part of her career in retail management and teaching business.
     

She is a graduate of Utah State University.
