Last spring, FMI launched a photo contest to encourage FMI members to invite their members of Congress to tour their stores, distribution centers or employee gatherings. Hosting lawmakers and regulators provides invaluable first-hand examples of how policy decisions can impact the operations of your businesses.
For each photo that was received, FMI sent the store manager who opened their store to a Member of Congress a flag that has been flown over the U.S. Capitol as a thank you for hosting and helping to support our government relations education efforts. With careful consideration of each photo, one was selected for a grand prize.
FMI would like to thank everyone who hosted a store tour and hope you continue reaching out to your Members of Congress. We had several dozen entries in our contest and the judging for the grand prize was very competitive.
We are proud to announce your 2014 Host a Member of Congress/Store Tour Winners!

Congratulations to Ron Edenfield of Wayfield Foods with Congressman David Scott (GA) and Michael Amiri of Nutricion Fundamental with House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (CA).
Both have won complimentary registration to the 2015 Midwinter Executive Conference in Miami, Florida.
FMI Encourages more participation in this program in 2015, and the grand prize will again be complimentary registration to the 2016 Midwinter Executive Conference in Miami, Florida. Each hosting store manager will again receive a flag flown over the U.S. Capitol.
Don’t hesitate to reach out to Laura Piccioli if you need assistance in gathering contact information for your Member of Congress or figuring out what district your store lies in. Alternatively, one of our staff would be happy to try to arrange a visit for you.
