SuperJobMarket.com Snags Ninth Partner

October 3, 2000
WASHINGTON, DC — October 3, 2000 — SuperJobMarket.com, an Internet employment recruiting service connecting food retailers and distributors with the nation’s top online job search engines, announced today an alliance with SnagAJob.com, a part-time and seasonal job listing service for high school and college students. Operated under the auspices of the Food Marketing Institute (FMI) and the Food Distributors International (FDI), SuperJobMarket.com has grown to include nine recruiting partners since its launch earlier this year.

SnagAJob.com, which debuted in June, has quickly become one of the nation’s largest Web sites dedicated exclusively to part-time and seasonal jobs for students. Tens of thousands of jobs have already been posted to the vibrant, information-packed site.

The company reaches students primarily through marketing, using a nationwide network of college representatives to poster campuses, distribute flyers, staff job fairs and dispense SnagAJob.com t-shirts, cups and other paraphernalia; and through school administrative offices, including guidance counselors and career centers.

“SnagAJob.com will be a valuable resource to the food retail and distribution industry,” explains Todd E. DuRose, director of business development for SnagAJob.com. “With our target audience of students, and a majority of the retail food industry’s part-time help consisting of high school and college students, this is sure to be a mutually beneficial partnership.”

"With so many high school and college students online daily and using the Internet to find work, SnagAJob.com is an important new addition to SuperJobMarket.com," said Grace Klonoski, FMI’s marketing director. “Hundreds of terrific job opportunities have been posted to the site since May, many of them targeted toward the market SnagAJob.com reaches."

SnagAJob.com recently completed its second round of funding and is considering a third and final round by the end of the year. For more information, contact Diana Maness (FMI) at (202) 220-0808 or Todd DeRose (SnagAJob.com) at (877) 461-7624.
