Webinar Description:

Retailers are looking for new ways to re-energize pandemic-weary consumers, and fresh foods is a great opportunity to drive engagement. That is the perspective of Ujwal Arkalgud, CEO of MotivBase, who is known for his out-of-the-box insights. Arkalgud is an award-winning cultural anthropologist who specializes in identifying insights from big data ethnographic research. He observes that the pandemic has made fresh foods — including foodservice and other prepared foods— relevant to more people, and it has created new opportunities to inspire consumers. This webinar will expand on a presentation Arkalgud delivered during the recent FMI FreshForward conference.

Webinar Objectives:

Among the key points to be made in this webinar:

  • Retailers have the opportunity to re-envision their prepared foods offerings.
  • Retailers can seek inspiration from street food markets — where food is fresh and cooked and there are exciting flavors and experiences.
  • Consumers are placing more focus on health and well-being and social responsibility as it relates to fresh foods. They are focusing more on the need to reduce food miles and waste.
  • There’s a big opportunity not just to bring back what existed pre-pandemic, but to retool for new consumer needs.
