The FMI Foundation annually sponsors scholarships to students currently enrolled in food and agricultural science programs. These scholarships are extremely competitive and are based primarily on academic ability, leadership potential, motivation, and initiative, along with a passion for the food industry and the auditing profession. Applicants will be considered for one of the two scholarships below. Applications are limited to one (1) submission per applicant.

AWARD: $3,000 stipend and complimentary registration, travel, and accommodation for the 2026 SQF Unites Conference.
DURATION: 1 year
CRITERIA: Grade Point Average of 3.2 or higher. This scholarship is limited to students in the USA, Canada, and Mexico
Tier 2 Food Safety Auditing Scholarship
AWARD: $1,000 stipend and a complimentary registration to the auditor qualification course, “Auditing the SQF Code Requirements” (a $1200 value), to be completed one year from the date of distribution.
CRITERIA: Grade Point Average of 3.2 or higher. This scholarship is limited to students in the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
Please note: past recipients of the Tier 1 scholarship are ineligible to reapply to the scholarship program (Tier 1 and Tier 2).
