We take your safety seriously and are doing all the planning to ensure we host a safe, healthy event for you.

We are following the guidance from worldwide health organizations and experts. We are fully committed to taking appropriate precautions to provide a safe and healthy environment for attendees. We encourage our attendees to work with us to help make this happen.


FMI staff are implementing the following best practices to help attendees stay healthy and to reduce exposure and risk:

  • Provide sanitizing and disinfection materials for general attendee use.
  • Increase cleaning and disinfection across high-volume common areas.
  • Monitor recommendations from the relevant health authorities including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), as well as state, local, and city government officials.
  • Encourage attendees to adopt some best practices in order to act in their own best interest and in the best interest of their follow attendees.

We will be following applicable federal, state, and local laws, adapting our plans accordingly and sharing updates with our audiences.

Hotel Cancellation and Changes

The hotel requires a credit card to guarantee a room at the time of reservation. All hotel changes, substitutions, and/or cancellations must be made directly with the hotel. The hotel must receive notice of hotel cancellations or changes (based on availability) no later than 72 hours prior to your arrival to receive a refund of your room deposit. Please refer to your hotel confirmation for specific information and deadlines.

In October, the average temperature in Chicago is in the mid 60’s during the day and low 40’s at night. Event attire is business casual. Meeting rooms are notoriously cold, so we encourage you to dress in layers.
