FMI has a room block available for the meeting dates. The room rate is $269 per night, plus a $19 resort fee. Please make your reservation directly with the hotel by using the direct online reservation linkThe hotel block cut off date is July 16, 2018. 

As always, thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, we are pleased to offer complimentary standard hotel rooms ($269 per night) for one State Association Executive per State Association on the two nights of the meeting (August 6 and August 7). State Execs should reserve rooms directly with the hotel. A credit card may be needed to secure the room, but state execs will not be charged for Monday night (August 6) or Tuesday night (August 7).

The Salamander Resort and Spa is set on 340 acres in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains; the heart of  Virginia’s Horse & Wine Country.

Weather & Retreat Dress

The average high for Middleburg, VA in August is 85 degrees, with a low of 62. Remember to pack clothing that will allow you to be comfortable in this weather.  Dress for the entire event is casual, which is the same as in years past.

Here is an overview of resort and local outdoor and indoor activities you and your family may enjoy.  The Salamander has indoor and outdoor pools, tennis courts, a complimentary putting green for aspiring golfers, full equestrian center, and lawn games including croquet, bocce ball, corn hole and life-sized chess.
