A DEI Perspective on Social justice Issues and Food

As we begin to anticipate, yearn, and prepare for the day when the COVID-19 pandemic does not dominate the horizon, an area where FMI is predicting an increase in consumer interest is regarding social justice issues and food. We anticipate accelerated attention being given to food waste reduction, fair labor practices, food as medicine, animal welfare concerns and equal access to healthy food.
