Jeanine Antiporek is the Senior Director Sales – West for Refresco North America.  Refresco and Cott/Cliffstar joined forces in 2018 to create the world’s largest independent bottler for carbonated soft drinks and shelf stable juice.  Jeanine has spent her entire career in the private brands industry, working for Presto Products, Bremner/Ralcorp, and Topco Associates.

Doug Baker

Vice President, Industry Relations, FMI

Doug Baker is a food retail industry relations vice president for FMI – The Food Industry Association where he facilitates professional, non-competitive collaboration among member communities across private brands, technology, and grocery resilience issue areas.

In addition to his facilitation of the private brands leadership council and their efficiency-driven initiatives to encourage brand owner innovation, Doug also oversees FMI’s CIO Council, the Industry Collaboration Council and joint industry initiative, SmartLabel . Prior to FMI, Doug began his career in the food retail industry in 1984 with Fry’s Food Stores. His 30+ years in food retail have included leadership roles at Fry’s (a division of Kroger), Kraft/Nabisco and Federated Group with focuses on retail operations, consumer packaged goods and private brand development and marketing.

Mark Baum

Chief Collaboration Officer & Senior Vice President, Industry Relations, FMI

Mark Baum currently serves as Senior Vice President of Industry Relations and Chief Collaboration Officer for FMI. In this role, Baum engages retailer, manufacturer, supplier, and service provider CEOs to further trading partner collaboration, leading to operational improvements and growth opportunities across all segments of the food retail supply chain. Prior to joining FMI, Baum was a Managing Partner of MARCAT Group, LLC a consulting/advisory firm specializing in business, market, channel, and customer development. Baum is known for his intricate knowledge of every aspect of the food, beverage and related businesses, and is recognized among the foremost experts in the design, management, and execution of strategy, sales, marketing, and merchandising activities throughout the industry.

Kristof Duna

Kristof Duna is the Vice President of Center Store, Private Brands and Export at MDI.  MDI is a wholesale grocery distributor located in North Carolina which supplies over 650 retail food stores in the US and overseas.  Prior to MDI, Kristof worked as Director of Private Brands at Lowes Foods in North Carolina and also spent 10 years at ALDI, working in operations and category management.  

Christopher Durham

President, My Private Brand

Christopher Durham is a retailer, thought leader author, consultant, and strategist with close to 20 years of experience creating, launching and building billion-dollar Private Brands. His influential website, My Private Brand, seeks to drive the changing Private Brand landscape, focusing on the emerging art and science of Private Brand management.

He is a trusted consultant for many of the world’s leading retailers, including Petco, Family Dollar, Staples, Office Depot, Best Buy, Lowe’s Home Improvement, and Grainger.

While working at Lowe’s Home Improvement, he developed and implemented the strategy for their multi-billion dollar portfolio of Private Brands, as well as creating and managing many of those brands. Before Lowe’s, he served as brand manager at Delhaize America, where he developed and delivered retail brand marketing as well as Private Brand strategy and development for Food Lion.

In 2017 Durham released the follow-up to his much-acclaimed first book “Fifty2: The My Private Brand Project.” His new book “Vanguard: Vintage Originals” presents a rich photographic look at Private Brand in America dating back to the mid-1800s and its implications for today’s retailers.

He has been featured in columns and interviews in the Washington Post, Brand Packaging magazine, The Dieline, Global Retail Brands, Food Processing magazine, Retail Leader, and PLMALive.

Durham lives in Charlotte, NC with his wife Laraine and two daughters, Olivia and Sarah.

Ugur Koyluoglu

Ugur Koyluoglu is a Partner with Oliver Wyman, based in New York. He is currently Vice Chairman for Financial Services Americas, leading content development. Prior to this role, Ugur led Americas Finance & Risk, Public Policy, and Corporate & Institutional Banking practices, and continues to steer the firm’s high-impact, corporate finance and risk management projects for financial institutions across the globe. Ugur has a PhD in Engineering from Princeton University, taught applied mathematics and engineering at Princeton and Turkey’s Koc University before coming to Oliver Wyman.

Doug Macdonald

Oracle Retail Brand Compliance Business Development Manager

Doug Macdonald is member of the Oracle Retail Brand Compliance team. His focus is helping retailers improve Innovation, Transparency and Compliance for their Private Brands. During his career he has assisted companies across multiple industries to transform the way they develop new products in complex and highly competitive markets. His experience includes innovation, quality, manufacturing, compliance, sourcing, procurement, and supplier risk management. He has a bachelor’s in engineering from Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh.

Mark McKeown

Principal/VP Client Insights, Retail Gateways and Label Insight

Mark McKeown is a senior strategic insights leader within IRI, who has experience with retail and foodservice channels.  His foodservice career started in restaurants with Pillsbury, led to distribution with Gordon Food Service and moved into Consulting with Technomic.  He joined Crown Imports/Constellation Brands as Director of Business Information where he led group responsible for market intelligence, consumer/shopper research, Trade/Pricing Analysis for all channels.  In addition the group produced analysis for national sales, marketing, finance and corporate leadership.

McKeown joined IRI in 2011 in the Supplier Client practice as a Group Lead for multiple clients in the US Market.  Those clients supplied center of plate, dairy, beverage,  fresh perimeter, snacks, greeting cards and numerous private brand products.  In 2018, McKeown took a leadership role for a multi-client group and their investments in Retailer Gateways.  IRI formed a partnership with Label Insight in 2020 and McKeown was asked to take lead role for business development with IRI retail and manufacturer clients.

From 2016 onwards, McKeown has led IRI’s partnership with the FMI Private Brands Retailer/Supplier Council.  He is a key speaker at the Private Brands Summit, webinars throughout the year and has been quoted in numerous Trade magazines on Private Brands.  In addition he has spoken at Retailer and Manufacturer meetings on this topic.

Angus McOuat

Associate Partner, McKinsey & Company

Angus McOuat is an Associate Partner at McKinsey & Company based in the Toronto office.  Angus has extensive experience consulting to grocers and food manufacturers across geographies and has recently focused on how retailers can accelerate and optimize their private brand businesses.  Beyond his consulting experience, he has also served as the head merchant at a gourmet grocery chain and in other retail merchandising and Ecommerce leadership roles.  Angus holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Queen’s University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

John Phillips

Senior Vice President, Customer Supply Chain and Go-to-Market for PepsiCo, Inc.

John is Senior Vice President, Customer Supply Chain and Go-to-Market for PepsiCo, Inc.  He has been with PepsiCo for over 33 years and has worked in a number of different sales and field operations roles since joining the company as a route salesperson with Frito-Lay.  Prior to his current role, John was Vice President of Customer Delivery Systems for Frito-Lay North America where he led the development and implementation of new DSD delivery systems and the development of the next generation of frontline handheld computers for the DSD sales force.  In his current role, John is responsible for working with PepsiCo’s largest customers on supply chain and collaboration initiatives to drive both effectiveness and efficiency across the shared supply chain.   He also leads PepsiCo’s Go-To-Market COE focused on global process and technology tools to optimize go-to-market systems. 

John is a member of the Grocery Manufacturers Association (GMA) Smart Label, Industry Affairs, and Supply Chain Committees. He is active in The Consumer Goods Forum as a member of the E2E Value Chain Committee.  John is a member of the Consumer Goods Technology (CGT) Executive Council, GS1 Data Excellence Board, and the GS1 US Board and Retail Grocery ELC.  He is also a member of the Western Michigan University Food & CPG Marketing Advisory Board.  John is recognized as an industry expert on CPG and retail supply chains, on-line grocery, and digital technologies.  He regularly keynotes at global industry events including Gartner, CGT, GS1, CGF, GMA, FMI, and has won the Supply Chain Digest Best Presentation of the Year award.

Before joining PepsiCo, John spent ten years in retail store operations with Jewel Food Stores in Chicago and was also a Territory Sales Representative for Procter & Gamble.  John attended Western Michigan University where he received a Bachelor of Science in Food Distribution and also holds an MBA from Southern Methodist University.

Linda Severin

Marketing and Private Brand Consultant

Linda Severin is a consumer centric marketing leader who drove business at Campbell's, ConAgra and other CPGs.  She then moved to the retail side, where she built the corporate brands team at Kroger, launching Simple Truth and renovating their portfolio of brands.  Most recently she led marketing, brand development, innovation and loyalty marketing at Topco.  Linda is currently consulting, bringing her shopper-centric, data-driven approach to the industry.

Jim Wisner

Jim Wisner was a Vice-president at Jewel Food Stores, Shaw's Supermarkets, and Topco Associates before starting Wisner Marketing in 1999. Wisner Marketing works with manufacturers and retailers on a broad range of marketing challenges. It has developed many industry-wide research and education programs including Center Store Renewal, Supply Chain Optimization for Specialty Foods, Multicultural Marketing, and others. Most recently, Wisner Marketing has developed for FMI a new comprehensive approach to private brand management within the context of a shopper-centric retail environment.

Jim is a popular speaker and has presented on private brands on six continents. He has served as adjunct faculty in the Private Label Executive Education Programs at both St. Joseph’s University and at Shanghai Jiao Tong University in China.  Jim is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and earned his MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
