Legal ConferenceIt’s a complicated world. Issues facing today’s food retail industry are more complex than ever, creating cross-collaboration between departments that used to function in silos. More and more, companies are using employees from regulatory, legal, and compliance departments to address the knowns and unknowns of today’s food retail marketplace.

To meet these demands, the new Legal, Regulatory and Compliance Conference will offer various food labeling sessions covering best practices for compliance with relevant regulations, but the conference will also examine current trends in labeling class actions and litigation that retailers should be aware of.  In our review of labor and employment, our expert speakers assist attendees in understanding the applicable rules and how to apply them, while mitigating the risks for employment conflict and litigation.  Additionally, in order to keep up with consumer and industry trends, we regularly examine new technologies and issues, from lab grown meat to social media crises and privacy concerns.

For the past 36 years, FMI has hosted our annual Legal Conference in locations throughout the U.S.  In its early years, the conference was marketed and branded as focusing primarily on legal topics.  As the industry and issues continue to evolve, so have we. The conference now covers the full gamut of legal, regulatory and compliance topics affecting the food retail and wholesale industry.  In order to reflect this progression, we have redesigned the conference to be the FMI Legal, Regulatory and Compliance Conference.

We hope that you can join us, and in the meantime, visit FMI.org/LegalConference to learn more!
