Each year, FMI hosts four meetings around the country to bring FMI members and state grocery and retail association executives together to share information regionally and to discuss legislative and regulatory strategies for the upcoming state legislative sessions. On Monday, members and state association partners met in Newport Beach, California at the FMI Western Regional Legislative Meeting. The group discussed several issues of importance to the food retail industry, including food and beverage taxes, selling beer, wine and spirits in grocery stores and labor and employment issues.
