Food Safety Zone 2015

The Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) was signed over five year ago but the most significant regulations are about to go into effect this fall for the majority of the food industry, including manufacturers, processors and any facilities “holding” food including warehouses and distribution centers.  Next spring we will see import regulations go into effect then transportation, produce and many others that follow.

FMI has been working with the FDA on the FSMA regulations for years and knows the intricacies of the law and the regulations and how they work together.  FMI Connect is the place to be to ask questions and meet the experts who can help.

Here is a sample of the solutions at FMI Connect:

  • Starting with the Legal Conference on June 19-20 at the Sofitel Chicago Water Tower, FSMA and supplier verification and criminal liability will be topics of discussion.
  • Bright and early Tuesday morning, June 21, learn about sanitary transportation with “Are You Ready for the New FSMA Sanitary Transportation Mandate” at 8:00 AM CT in S104.
  • On Wednesday, June 22 at 12:30 PM CT, the session “FSMA: What Every Retailer Should Know,” in the Meet and Learn area on the expo floor, will review the essentials of FSMA for retailers and wholesalers.
  • Several exhibitors have solutions to help with FSMA compliance including ReposiTrak® (Booth #1645) who has both track and trace and document management systems that make business processes easier.
  • Connect with the Safe Quality Food Institute (Booth #1645) team to learn more about the benefits of food safety and quality certification.
  • The Food Safety Zone will host the FMI Food Safety team to help answer your food safety questions.
We know how important food safety is to your business.  Look to FMI Connect to provide you with solutions to help you stay up-to-date on all the information you need.
