Assistant, SQFI Customer Service and Marketing

Primary Purpose

To provide support to the SQFI Customer Service and Marketing Departments

Essential Job Functions

Administrative Responsibilities: (60 - 65%):

  • Serve as the primary customer service representative for SQFI
  • Answer and screen incoming calls
  • Retrieve messages via phone & email, and respond to or disseminate correspondence to the appropriate person for a response.

Marketing Responsibilities: (35 - 40%)

  • Support the initiation, development and implementation of marketing initiatives for all SQFI programs, services and events.
  • Maintain SubscriberMail e-blast lists & utilize the Greyhouse Publishing database.
  • Pull statistics from Google Analytics marketing campaigns & update tracking spreadsheets.
  • Coordinate schedules, trainings and suppliers for events.
  • Update websites, PowerPoint templates and all social media content & posts.
  • Play a role in the redesign of the website.
  • Help with social media content writing and posting.
  • Possess knowledge and best practices related to the field of marketing and communications.

Other Job Functions

  • Duties will include working with internal and external constituents, including working with people from outside the U.S. A second language, especially Spanish, is preferred but not required.
  • Other responsibilities and duties as assigned or directed.

Physical Requirements

  • Normal office environment requiring use of typical business equipment (e.g., computer, telephone, fax, copier, security system). 
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs.

Education Skills Experience Required

  • A college degree and/or coursework in business administration, marketing or communications.
  • One to three plus years of relevant experience working in a similar capacity.
  • Strong relationship & team-building experience working with internal and external stakeholders—a second language, especially Spanish, is a plus!
  • A flexible and open mindset with a willingness to learn.
  • Strong customer service and team orientation.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong grammar and proofreading skills.
  • Strong time management and project planning abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Professional demeanor, approach, and appearance.
  • HTML, Adobe, Photoshop and Google Analytics experience required.
  • Expertise in using the entire Microsoft Office Suite (2010) – Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Typing speed of at least 50 WPM.
  • Excellent telephone and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and accomplish multiple tasks with attention to detail.
