Skogen has been in the grocery business for more than 50 years, working his way up from the meat department and store operations to his current position.
Festival Foods was founded in 1946 by Skogen’s parents, Paul and Jane Skogen. The family-owned and operated company consists of 13 stores throughout Wisconsin and employs more than 3,200 associates.
Skogen was honored by his industry peers when he was named “Wisconsin Grocer of the Year” in 2005. He was named the “Retailer of the Year” by IGA International in 1989.
A longtime resident of Onalaska, WI, Skogen is past president of the Onalaska Rotary and an active supporter of the United Way. He was honored as a hometown hero by President Clinton in 1998. He has received numerous awards including the Paul Harris Fellow Award from the Onalaska Rotary, the Iverson-Freking Award and he was named to the Boys and Girls Club Wall of Fame.

FMI’s nearly 330 associate members include the supplier partners of its retail and wholesale members.
