The Federal Trade Commission’s (FTC) recent revisions to the Guides for the Use of Environmental Marketing (Green Guides) will have a significant impact on “green” marketing by food retailers and wholesalers. This free, special 60-minute webinar on January 8 at 11:00 am EST is designed especially to focus on food retailer marketing issues in light of the FTC’s revised Green Guides. The webinar will cover revisions to the Green Guides affecting:

  • General environmental benefit claims

  • Certifications and seals

  • Recyclable claims

  • Compostable claims

  • Degradable claims

  • Recycled Content



It will discuss new guidance in the areas of:

  • “Free of” claims

  • Non-toxic claims

  • Renewable materials claims

  • Carbon offsets



The webinar will also highlight claims that the FTC declined to address, like “organic,” “natural,” and “sustainable,” and why.
