IRI and FMI Top Trends in Fresh – New Consumerism and the Customization Continuum

Thursday, July 19, 2018 (2pm - 3pm US/Eastern)

Although it has been the fastest growing segment in CPG for a number of years, the perimeter is no longer the slam dunk it once was. Growth has slowed as consumers’ choices have increased, including from newer competitors offering fresh food at lower prices. Price pressures, coupled with a lack of recent innovation in the segment, means a much tougher climate for fresh food manufacturers and retailers.

The current environment, while challenging, offers retailers and manufacturers a unique opportunity to differentiate themselves by making the most of these aisles. It requires having the right solutions in place so that shoppers’ entire trips can be maximized.

During the next installment of the Top Trends in Fresh webinar series, “New Consumerism and the Customization Continuum,” IRI and FMI will share the latest data on what’s happening in the perimeter, how retailers are responding to these changes and which solutions are making an impact with consumers.

During this webinar, you’ll learn:
• How retailers are responding to the retail formats consumers want and the level of service they seek for their fresh food
• The impact that new entrants in the space are having on consumers’ food and retail choices
• How different types of food solutions are trending
• Some ways in which food manufacturers can provide shoppers the customization they are increasingly seeking
