  • Job Description:

    • Work with Manager and Vice President to support formulation and execution of short- and long-term organizational and event-related marketing plans and budgets.


    • Work collaboratively with creative and production teams to develop and coordinate effective promotional/marketing materials.


    Tasks to include: 


    Print Production 


    a. Coordinate relationship with vendors


    b. Solicit and award bids


    c. Coordinate production schedule, including proofs and delivery


    Data Analysis


    d. Provide attendee analysis for previous conferences and reports


    e. Track advertising and mailing successes


    Mail House Coordination


    f. Coordinate delivery of data files and materials for assembly and mailing


    g. Solicit and award bids


    List Management


    h. Edit and refine lists for marketing of conferences


    i. Develop and obtain lists from internal and external sources


    j. Maintain list of excludes


    E- Marketing


    k. Coordinate e-blast postings and tracking


    Project Coordination


    l. Handle the project schedule and project files


    m. Coordinate marketing efforts with program managers


    • Support work on market condition analyses; support member research data analyses; support FMI marketing/promotions activities; help identify trends and opportunities; and, contribute to recommendations for initiatives and programs.


    • Support creation and implementation of strategies for building attendance at FMI events and conferences.


    • Support identification and pursuit of opportunities for promotion of FMI through a variety of media.


    • Support relationships with outside resources and agencies.

  • Primary Purpose:

    Support the initiation, development and implementation of marketing initiatives for all FMI services, events and programs.
  • Physical Requirements:

    Normal office environment requiring use of typical business equipment (e.g., computer, telephone, fax, copier, security system). Ability to travel to events to perform work on-site.
  • Education, Skills and Experience:

    • College degree or equivalent experience required.


    • Minimum of 3 years of prior professional work experience, including at least 2 years directly and specifically related to the position.


    • Computer and internet expertise with and excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.


    • Strong knowledge of social media platforms


    • Strong customer service and team orientation.


    • Strong writing, editing, proofreading and communication skills. Excellent interpersonal communication skills.


    • Self-directed with excellent time and project management skills with an ability to organize, prioritize, and accomplish multiple tasks with strict attention to detail and with minimal supervision.
