Current State Status: The State of Utah is unique in that grocery stores fall under the jurisdiction of two different state agencies. If the store does not prepare food on site, it only needs to meet the Department of Agriculture requirements. If the store does prepare food on site, it must meet both the Agriculture requirements and the requirements of the Department of Health. See below.
